I have had a very enjoyable experience at the school of rock Kingwood. Thom is a great instructor with a wealth of knowledge in all musical genres. Very patient with some of us older students.

I like that my son not only learns to play, but also that he learns to play with a group. It teaches him not just music, but also teaches him responsibility and accountability because each person in the group is important. He loves School of Rock and looks forward to it every week!

My son, first time drummer, enjoys going to his classes with Jesse. Jesse is a great instructor and motivates Lucas. The group nights sound, per my son, awesome and Lucas gets the chance to try other instruments. The staff is always inviting and full of conversation. Great place and I highly recommend the Kingwood School of Rock!

My son loves School of Rock! As a child who grew up in a musical home and taught himself how to play his instruments by ear, he really appreciates the less formal approach to lessons here. Jesse is his drum instructor and he enjoys lessons with him tremendously! He’s got a laid back attitude and is very encouraging. My son has learned and improved so much already only after a few lessons with him. I appreciate that after my son’s 30 minute lessons, he is allowed to use any unused practice room with drums for an additional 30 minutes to independently practice what he’s learned in his lessons. The full band practices is what my son enjoys the most, not just for the social aspect but it’s exposing him to more music styles and teaching him how to work as a team, improvise, and adjust based on what the band needs as a whole. It’s very cool that they hold actual performances so friends and family can cheer the kids on and students can learn stage presence.

My son is very shy. Having Tom and Felix as his keyboard and bass teachers along with his band he is growing and enjoying being around people. His being in front of a crowd playing is opening him up as well to crowds
