I enrolled my son for drums at school of rock markham. He completed the first lesson and everything is great so far and he's enjoying it. He is doing private lessons only now and waiting for space to join the rock 101.
Everything!!!! I love the performance-based philosophy! I love the challenge of learning new skills and getting better and better at playing electric guitar! I love being part of an adult band! I love the staff and band members! I love practising my guitar at home, rehearsing with the band, and playing in front of an audience! I love the new method books and app that have recently come out to give all students and music teachers consistency but also to encourage creativity and a personal and one-on-one approach during lessons! I have just this week started using Book 1 and the app and am impressed! I love everything about The School of Rock!
We love the instructors, the staff and the kids who make up the School of Rock. The culture is inclusive, fosters growth, team work, respect for each other and an appreciation of music. We are happy to be part of the School of Rock family and encourage others to give it a try!
Since the free trial offered by School of Rock Markham, my children (6 and 4 years old) enjoy going to programs and learning different kinds of instruments. Among the instruments, my elder son found what he likes and is taking a private lesson. We satisfied the programs/lessons and thanks to great teachers/staffs. UROCK!
School of Rock is a remarkable place to learn music in Markham and Toronto. You don't sit in a lesson going through dull songs that will never see the light of day. Instead, you really learn to perform & play!!
School of Rock is a performance-based learning program. You practice your songs with a band and perform the songs on stage - live, with your bandmates.
Our kids have played so much cool music at awesome venues including Hard Rock Cafe and even downtown at The Opera House! Yes, that's right!! The Opera House!!!
My kids tell me School of Rock has literally changed how they listen to music.
In this age of autotune and superficial-crank-it-out-of-the-studio-shallow-low-quality-mumble-mus-ack, my kids enjoy playing rock (classic, modern, soul, indie and everything in between) with an appreciation for all the art & nuance that goes into creating and playing great music.
This is the kind of learning experience that makes kids LOVE MUSIC - saving the world of music one fun performance set at a time...
Get your kids into music and watch them grow. Get into it for yourself and give yourself some fun and feed your soul.
School of Rock... Well... It ROCKS!! ;-)
