After every class, there is a feedback from the teachers which are precise and helpful. The combination of having private lessons and band practice gives motivation. The band practice sessions could be improved by allowing students to come at a narrower window of time, especially in the beginning because students are waiting for a long time, sometimes to do just 1 or 2 songs.

I like that you are just thrown into it. I am an experiential learner with all things- if I’m not actually doing the thing I’m trying to learn, I don’t absorb anything and it doesn’t click. This method just makes sense to me. Also, I think I learned far more than I would have at this point by being put together with other people to practice. I loved Christian as a teacher and from my one lesson with him, Nathan is great too. Everyone there is cool. It’s a nice change from being around corporate people all day.

Quality, instructors, atmosphere

The combination of lessons with band practice is perfect. I got really tired of just practicing rudiments and never actually applying my skills to actual songs. Joining the adult band has me learning 8 complete songs in record time and getting out there performing. What a difference!

We love the School of Rock program! It’s amazing how fast kids learn there and how much fun they have throughout the learning process. My eight year old son truly looks forward to his weekly Rock 101 classes. The staff and instructors at his school are great with kids and also super friendly and supportive.

Great teachers and great programs

Performance programs and lessons

Its fun being part of a band and being in the shows. The private lesson is food because you practice your particular instrument one on one with the same teacher each week

The teachers - they are excellent! Very warm and encouraging and I'm learnings so much!

The programming at SOR is the exceptional. The music group choices are well edited and also give families scheduling flexibility. The staff are kind and welcoming as well as always helpful. The teachers are excellent and have helped my son develop his knowledge of music and beyond. Thank you to Bob, Mario and my son’s personal mentor, Josh Plath.

Great Music, teachers, staff, vibe.

We love the classes at S of R!

My kid is so motivated and has improved so quickly with the program. And the School of Rock Shows are by far the best, most fun recitals I've ever been to!

Thoughtful and caring approach.

Seeing happy child is the best feeling for a parent

I love the combination of instruction with band practice. I've spent too much time practicing on my own, building chops, while not keeping the end goal in sight: being able to make music with others.

I like that band and individual lessons go hand in hand.

The staff is great

The flexibility and teachers

The teachers all are fantastic. The level of instruction and method of teaching is excellent. The team on the UES is warm and welcoming but also very serious about music and in making sure students are excited about playing music together. The venues for shows are also great. Love the program all around
