Kids learn by playing songs they know and like, no "Hot Cross Buns." And they're immediately placed into a band situation, so they're not learning in a vacuum.
School of Rock programs have just the right blend of musical skill building, while also increasing confidence, social skills, performance skills, and fun.
My experience with School of Rock has been absolutely exceptional! From the supportive teachers to the accommodating directors and owners, every aspect of this school exudes positivity and encouragement.
The staff here goes above and beyond to nurture my son's passion for music while instilling the values of consistent practice and effort. Moreover, the community-minded approach fosters a sense of belonging and acceptance among students and instructors alike. It's heartwarming to see my son thrive and feel connected within the School of Rock family.
What sets this school apart is its focus on not just individual lessons but also collaborative performance sessions. This has not only helped my son make friends but also taught valuable lessons in teamwork and collaboration with diverse personalities. I've witnessed remarkable growth, both musically and personally, in my son since joining School of Rock.
The teachers are deeply involved in my son's progress, emphasizing the importance of self-assurance and self-esteem in performance. Additionally, their flexibility in scheduling makeup classes demonstrates their commitment to student success.
I wholeheartedly recommend School of Rock to anyone looking for a nurturing environment where children can flourish both as musicians and individuals. Thank you, School of Rock, for making such a positive impact on my son's life!
Anthony has worked with Michael for the past few months and has quickly built a rapport with him. He creates guitar lessons based on Michael’s interests, and is helpful with follow up recommendations for home.
It has instilled confidence and a strong sense of teamwork and commitment in our daughter while also providing her with an opportunity to pursue her passion of singing. As 80s/90s kids, my husband and I love that she’s exposed to the music we grew up on!
It's a great opportunity to perform live, I'd like to see the adult program expanded, and kept a little separate from your main programs. It's a little weird getting emails and filling out forms that are really meant for kids, like all the parental stuff.
I love that my son gets both individualized instruction and the experience of collaborating with other performers. It is giving him a more realistic experience while also helping him to find his voice musically. The program has broken my son out of his comfort zone and shown him that he can be proud of himself and his talent! Thank you!
Great teachers, and every student gets a chance to shine. The performance gigs are awesome and so rewarding for the kids, their families and friends. School of Rock really does rock!
My son has come so far in such a short period of time in his vocal lessons with Jimmy. It’s awesome to listen & hear the difference in his voice.
We also love that the ey can hang out together as a band.
This semester's band director for Rock 101 Thursday seems to have really accomplished a lot with the kids. The smaller band format is definitely a significant step in the right direction.
Anthony Rizzo is a fantastic, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic teacher. He has been a highlight of the SoR experience for Hunter and our Family.
I would like to see the program push more music theory and the why of how music into the curriculum. Maybe slightly smaller setlists to leave more time for mastery?
Our son received so much support during his journey at School of Rock. He's a better guitar player, he's a better performer, but most importantly he's more confident in himself.
