I like that the lessons are weekly and that my daughter is provided with option/opportunities to learn to play songs she personally likes/chooses which motivates her to practice. Additionally, the fact that the program has a band option has encouraged my daughter to “get better” in hopes that she will join eventually. Overall, we are very happy with the program.

School of rock starts with songs that require single string or two string power cords that can be learned quickly and sound great. Most guitar teachers start with learning all the basic chords and then play simple songs that are really boring. This take a long time and kids get bored quickly. School of rock gets them playing ASAP and excited because they can play in a band right away and it sounds great.

Adult program is really great - especially when it has more students and less staff like this current season. I put a nine because of kids. Staff is great and the kids there love it. I wish the kids program had more options for them to pick songs they want to play - ie my kids are more "pop" than rock. They LOVED playing but wanted that choice of music they like. But overall an awesome program and super great people there!

This is the funnest thing I've ever done! I'm living out my lifetime dream of being a rock star! Instruction and format are awesome, and the camaraderie among students and teachers is great!

The program structure is engaging for students and holds their focus while they learn great music. My son is enthusiastic to go every time and is excited to show me his new skills. Teachers work well with students bringing in tremendous experience while encouraging students to break out of any discomfort. At the School of Rock kids learn at a rapid pace compared with traditional music lessons. I highly recommend this school. You won't regret it!

I had some concerns in the past but with the change in management and brining back House Band, I am once again loving the direction SOR Sandy is going. My son loves it there and has made some great friends and learned a lot.
