It has enhanced W. V. listening skills, and made him more engaged in learning and focusing, within the SOR as well as his regular school. For the students that sincere in learning from the basic to advanced levels, this is the place to start..
The quality of the coursework and the teachers. I like the weekly progress reports and flexibility for summer months.
My child is always thrilled to go to music!
We love how inclusive SoR Cleveland Park is! I just recommended the program to a friend whose child, like our oldest, is transgender and trying to figure out where he fits in, when many peers are very interested in extracurricular sports and other activities that are not as personally interesting to him. Friend has signed his kid up for a trial of guitar lessons and performance band, so hopefully we'll start seeing his child over at SoR soon. I was happy to tell him that SoR is very welcoming of LGBTQ+ youth, and that his kid will be in great company.
We also talked about how fun the mid-season and end-of-season performances are, and how we love going to Pearl Street Warehouse and Hard Rock Cafe to see our kids' bands play. I mentioned that SoR has helped both of our kids grow so much in both skill and confidence, and it's always a joy for us to connect with other parents over music, as well.
Thanks for all you do! We really appreciate you and the SoR program!
I like the combination of private lessons and ensembles. It helps the students develop individually and work with others towards the common goal of the end of season concert.
My kid has a great time! The instructors (Noah and Carolyn) were laid back and fun with the kids. They seemed to get to know each kid pretty well in a short period. Excited for the performance today!
I love the teambuilding and sense of camaraderie that is encouraged in the group classes. My son has really come out of his shell since attending School Of Rock and I could not be happier with the instruction. In addition to the social ability that is encouraged. I’m so glad we found the school, and cannot wait to see the potential. My child reaches under the instruction here.
We were hoping for a way to build a love of music and excitement to play an instrument in our son without pressure or nagging. The Rookies camp was a perfect fit. He was able to explore instruments, and able to capture the joy of playing "real" music with a band through the support of his teachers. They encouraged him to take on challenges, and when he felt frustrated they backed off before he grew wary. We are now looking at different drum set options.
Hi all, we love School of Rock. When we started in October 2021 in the Performance Program we were called to discuss the next session so that we didn’t get locked out. We’ve been dedicated to the School and very much want to be seen as part of the family. Please do give current students preference to the next session before it fills up.
I am concerned about my son (Jack on drums) being demoted to Rock 102 after 5 sessions in Performance.
Thanks for considering. 🖤 [FIRST NAME REMOVED]
