We like the structure of one private lesson, one group lesson per week. Instructors are great and staff are friendly. We would highly recommend!

My son Nolan adores his Little Wing group- he anticipates music class every week and barely says goodbye to me when I drop him off because he's so excited! I love how he's learning music fundamentals and experimenting with various instruments. Their teacher, Cody, is awesome! We look forward to Cody's recap notes and appreciate the time he takes to write them. So far, our experience with School of Rock has been great.

It’s a great way to get kids excited about music and learning to play an instrument.

Dillon is amazing with my four year old. My child has taken makeup "Little Wing" music classes with other instructors, including the Thursday instructors and the Saturday instructor, but my child most greatly enjoys Little Wing on Mondays with Dillon, who is calm, patient, flexible, and able to connect with each individual child and tailor her music class to make it feel personalized to each child. School of Rock offers a great way to introduce music to a small child and explore different instruments, with zero pressure to play a specific instrument. When you sign up, you even get a nifty welcome package and t-shirt!

Very nurturing and friendly environment that my kid loves. Going to the School of Rock to play his drums has significantly progressed him over the last few months

My one-on-one lessons weekly with Dillon are awesome, she really makes the learning feel approachable and low pressure. Spending the 45 minutes with her feels like spending time with an extremely knowledgeable, supportive, and collaborative coach. The fact that she can balance professionalism with being true to herself and her personality is so impressive. I can’t say enough good things about her. I also want to give Anya a shout out—I think the program is very lucky to have her. In the short time I spend in the waiting area before my lessons, I see her handling multiple phone calls with professionalism and efficiency, interacting with parents and kids, and coordinating with instructors all at the same time. And while she does all of that, she appears composed and collected. As someone who generally leans neurotic, it is very reassuring and calming to interact with her.

All the instructors are so wonderful and all the programs are really fun!

We are very pleased with the program and the continued growth my daughter have had over her years with the school. The professionalism and dedication of teachers and admin staff is outstanding.

We love the the program of School of Rock Williamsburg and cherish its enormous contribution to both our kids over the years, first Rahm and then Mia: The fun, the learning, the team-playing skills and the love of music. It's been a joy to see them grow and find their passion with SoR. One thing we've been thinking of lately is that maybe the 8-17 age range might be a bit too wide, both skill and maturity wise, on stage and off, during the rehearsal period. For the purpose of retaining older students, it may be worth considering breaking this into two age groups (for example 8-12, 13-17). Would love to discuss it further in person if you're interested.

The teachers and staff are wonderful and my 3 year old daughter absolutely loves Little Wing classes.

Our teen feels seen and empowered at School of Rock. The teachers and coaches are fantastic - we are so lucky to have found this program!

My daughter found an instructor that match her tastes in music and they are very compatible. The lessons are fun for her.

I love the focus on live performance and playing in bands, I love the community and culture it creates and I love that the teachers are cool, young working musicians.

Age friendly, my four year old loves going to her after school classes on Wednesdays:)

My son just loves going to school of rock. He can try different instruments - and seems really enjoy the variety. And I have noticed how much his sense for music changed since he is attending the classes. Thank you

your staff is super nice and my kid is stoked

They're appropriate for younger children. So many programs in our neighborhood are geared towards 5 years old and up, but there is a dearth of afterschool programs for children older than 2 years old.

I do private lessons once a week with Dillon at school of rock williamsburg, and without a doubt our lessons are what I like most about the program. She is a great instructor for multiple reasons (including her musical skill and knowledge, and her ability to translate complicated concepts into more accessible concepts), but mostly, because of her ability to build rapport instantly and create a comfortable, safe, fun environment in the lessons. Dillon makes learning feel like no big deal; we’re reviewing, we’re chatting, and before I know it I’m playing a full song. If it were possible for me to pay her more, I would, because she absolutely deserves it. She makes me feel like music is actually accessible to me as a woman, rather than the boys club I observed growing up.

My child has gained so much confidence from participating in the performance program. Not only is she learning new music, but she’s responding to the consistency of weekly rehearsals and the responsibility of being in a band with others.

I like the private attention then the group atmosphere my son is getting. Seems to work well!
