Everything! The staff is polite and knowledgeable and thoughtful with how they respond to my mother’s care. I am blessed that Dan and his staff have been a part of our lives and also have become part of the family, especially Martha Del Gado! The stress of caring for my mom had been difficult to manage but Martha has been such a gem!

Dan and his office staff are easy to get hold of; so if I need to schedule extra care or cancel time I reserved, it’s not a hassle.
My main caregiver (Elinor) is awesome. She takes good care of me. She challenges me to do more even when I don’t think I can. She reminds me to use safety precautions, and she is close by to help when needed. I had a sub twice, and she was ok. Very pleasant, just not as much training or experience. I’Nadia was very young, but very pleasant. She was willing to do things the way I knew would work. She was patient. Although we didn’t attempt anything I wasn’t sure of on those days, we did fine.

Val is doing an amazing job. She is extremely flexible, which is very important in our house because every day has different requirements. She is great helping with my husband who has multiple health issues and she’s also great helping me do some of the jobs that I have difficulty getting to because my time is very limited with working with him. She’s amazing.

Elinor is wise, caring, and professional. She knows how to help and is strong enough that there is no need to worry. She comes prepared to help with ADLs, and she brings helpful suggestions about how to stay safe and how to build a good and satisfying life with abilities you still have. Those are my words, not hers. She just goes to it. “Look, this is how you can do the laundry.” “Come here and see if you can put dishes in the dishwasher,” is how she says it. Besides that, she is invested in your independence and enthusiastically celebrates breakthroughs and hard-won achievements. She said she hopes to work herself out of a job. I know she will have plenty of clients after me. I hope so too. Elinor is one of those people I have the privilege of knowing because the unthinkable was unavoidable.
A word about Dan. He will help you get the care you need. He is a good guy, just the sort who is smart enough to hire Elinor and others like her. Apparently, he also recognizes their great value and makes them want to stay.
