First of all, I did NOT like the idea of going to ANOTHER STATE (OHIO) to deal with my insurance happening. I have been here in North Carolina for 16 years and always felt secure about Terry Warren who has now retired. I had to take photo's and send them to Ohio. But later, the man in Ohio put me in touch with MILES who is with SERVICE MASTER. They came right up and took care of everything swiftly and pleasantly. A small crew repaired the damaged roof and the tree debris was removed. I was VERY pleased with Miles and his crew. It stared to rain the very next day after their work. All secure. A miracle! From the very beginning, after our kitchen suddenly flooded (from undetected, bad under-faucet plumbing) over 4 months ago, Miles Watt and his team have come in, offered their ideas, suggested time- and money-saving strategies, and been here on the spot and on the dot! We ourselves didn't know where to begin, much less how it would end up. We were quite surprised by our bad luck, and worried. Miles and his team came to us with expertise, advice, and experience. Subcontracted and delegated professionals have been responsive and reliable. We had some problems with a supplier who was frankly beyond our (or their) control. But at EVERY TURN, Miles and his team were on it. We received daily updates and contacts. We always had ServiceMaster and their professionals to connect with. We were always kept informed, never left in the lurch, and we immediately discovered that Miles and ServiceMaster and their contractors were and are always "on our side." The immediate response and repairs were prompt and effective! Beyond that--the fans and heaters to dry out our flooded kitchen, ripping out the destroyed floor and cabinetry, considering replacements and samples--the decisions we made to improve and remodel our poor kitchen were not only attended to but CARED FOR at every turn. We had to make choices on our own, of course: colors, textures, replacements, surfaces ... But in this alien and (we hope) last such experience, It's been amazing! My natural tendency toward anxiety was completely assuaged--not by smooth-talk but by expert advice, confidence, and partnership, with Miles and his colleagues. We've known a few such relationships in 30 years with our little house, but they are few and far between. In this case, we've been so fortunate and happier than could be imagined! Miles even met us, on his own time, at the hardware/appliance supplier one afternoon, offering savvy advice about how to save money (e.g.,, buy not wall tile but floor tile: "It's the same product but much less expensive." Boy was he right. We could go on and on. I can only say now, as we have completed the long and winding road to repairing and remodeling our kitchen, the heart of our home but in fact just a tiny piece of a tiny, humble property, that ServiceMaster, Miles Watt, Chuck Cook, Scott Rector, Cesar Ramirez, Adam Rector ... and so many more ... have become our friends and support in this little cause. In the larger picture of our world, perhaps it's not much, in a season of losses and adjustments... But this very personal, humble, and yet expensive, post-loss relationship has been an experience of respect, appreciation and creativity. We are delighted with the result. We liked and liked all the people we met in this effort. We will never forget them! How many clients can say as much about their contractors and repair/remodeling professionals?! It was such a pleasure to work with every person who helped with the restoration of my home. From the first contact, everyone was professional, cheerful, and concerned about my comfort and satisfaction. Miles was wonderful working directly with my insurance company and making that part easy for me. The entire crew - both cleaning and painting - were a pleasure and made the two week job a positive experience. The amount of detail they put into the job was impressive, and I appreciated their concern for my satisfaction with the job. I would definitely recommend them to anyone and everyone.

Rick is the greatest guy to work with-- so helpful and super-nice every step of the way. I live out of state so when I had "disasters" at 2 different properties in Haywood County, he really took control of everything and kept me informed as to the progress. A real life-saver!

ServiceMaster (and specifically Rick McElroy) build a climate of trust right out of the gate. Rick kept me fully abreast of what was happening, turned each challenge into an opportunity, and displayed well-oriented professional knowledge. The quality of work was consistently high.
