I like chair yoga with Alley. She is so caring and pays attention to people like me who are somewhat disabled.
Diane does a marvelous job at her 11:30 class on Monday. She also treats us as special.
Primarily, I workout on my own to swim/bike/run. Plenty of equipment & nice pool. I drive to Shadowbend even though there are facilities a lot closer to me.
Facilities are excellent, having a whirlpool and sauna is wonderful, but I regret the lack of provided towels. I would pay an extra monthly fee to not have to bring my own.
There is a good variety of activities at a balanced value-cost ratio. Being able to use the heated pool all year long is a plus and the equipment at the weights room is good enough to keep you in shape.
I especially like open play pickleball as well as the e-machines. It gives me the flexibility of time that I need. And I like the neighborhood feel, comfortable for all ages.
I enjoy the 8:30 am classes 5 days a week. Great instructors and really safe & thorough cardio & weight (& resistance) workouts! (Hoping Lisa Serice returns -- sadly not loving Terri's teaching style)

Ben, also is kind and helpful. He helped with the wellness scan. At the beginning in the EGym, Christian was very instrumental in showing me what to do and how to use the machines. The instructor, Annette, is also a blessing as well. I have gone to 2 of the sessions and I have 2 more sessions to get more of the exercises practiced. Thank you all so much, I appreciate your support and help!
I am very happy with what the YMCA offers seniors like me. I have been a member of Shadow Bend for nearly 16 years. I go there 3 or 4 times a week. i love those that I socialize with as well as the exercise in a friendly and safe enviroment.
