I go to group fitness classes mainly. The instructors are knowledgeable. I however would like to see a more modernized building structure. I would like to have a sense of pride of nice modern building and cleaner machines.
Generally able to use equipment. Could use a couple of traditional exercise bikes as the recumbents dominate that room. Staff is pretty friendly. Other clients are very friendly especially the senior folks. Wish i could figure out how to get sound in my ear buds when watching Pluto tv. Haven’t been able to get help to make it work. Other than that, no issues. Parking is good.
Love the equipment. The E Gym is great for a guy 81 years old. Love the pool where I jog in water. The staff are friendly and helpful. The other people working out are also pleasant and helpful if needed.

Overall, I love working with my personal trainer, Kim Cox, at the Shadowbend YMCA. However, I'm not very happy about recent equipment changes to the blue floor room where I train with her. The large variety of hand weights have been replaced with fewer and more limited options like 5, 10 & 15 lb weights. Most women and especially elderly women need smaller increases in weight increments. The old equipment was much better than the new option. Plus the room is now very crowded with equipment which leaves few corners/areas where people can place an exercise mat and be out of the way. Equipment also now blocks one of the mirrors that can no longer be used.
