One of the best things about SMY is that the leadership and instructors take Yoga very seriously but they don’t take themselves too seriously. By doing this, they create a genuinely warm and approachable atmosphere. SMY also has a wonderfully diverse mix of instructors and students.
I love South Mountain Yoga, and I'm so grateful for it! Almost every teacher I've encountered at SMY has been warm, welcoming, and enthusiastic, and I've learned so much there. My practice has really progressed during my time at SMY.
The one concern I have is that, since the change in class levels, I've felt like there isn't as much room for challenge and really reaching as I'd like. Maybe a few more reach or advanced classes can be added? And/or maybe some of the classic classes can be re-classified as gentle or restorative?
The staff is what makes SMY so special.
From the teachers to the desk staff.
All are professional and sooooo welcoming.
The studio is always clean and neat and ready for the next class.
Emma takes the time to find the right people who help her make SMY the place to go.
