South Mountain Yoga is all about making each person feel that reach session is their personal practice. There is a consistent philosophy of teaching that is readily evident and provides a seamless experience for all. I took the first yoga class of my life at South Mountain Yoga about a year ago and it's made a real difference in my physical and mental health. Highly recommended!
The lovely space is the first thing that grabs you. From the welcoming at the front desk to the instruction...everything felt like I am meant to be there. The Begin class flowed at a nice pace with some challenge. I left feeling lifted and grateful.
Your teachers are incredible! I love how they make an effort to meet their students and actually remember your name. They articulate the poses very well, and if you’re confused, they show you the correct way without making you feel like a klutz. They’re always available after class to answer questions. They’re all very patient and kind, which must be so difficult given the varying skill levels of the students. They know how to make you feel you’re part of the SMY experience.
I Love the space! It's spacious, clean, and peaceful. The staff goes above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable. Even if you're new to yoga, the teacher and assistants help to make the poses accessible. There are so many options when it comes to teachers and classes, which is great in case a class doesn't work for you.
South Mountain yoga studio is a warm, inviting non-judgemental and beautiful place to practice yoga. All the teachers are excellent and encouraging, and the people who take the classes alongside you are friendly and respectful to one another. Emma and Chris have created a space of beauty, acceptance and peace where you can find a place to breathe and focus wholly on yourself.
