Kids are seeing other kids in leadership roles and taking responsibility, plus encouraging community, self care, respect for and love of nature and each other. And it’s really really fun!
I love that the second he steps foot into Camp Burguess, he forgets about his phone and video games. He gets to socialize and explore nature through a variety of games and activities. He always returns feeling happy and positive. As a single divorced mom, this means the world to me.
Our son really liked the variety of programs. He signed up for some programs that he would not ordinarily choose while at home, and he signed up for other programs that were his favorites from years past.
My son had an amazing time. I love that he was engaged in outside activities. I see such a growth in his maturity, self-sufficiency and confidence that is a direct result of his camp experience.
