I go to some fitness classes and sometime I might stay at you some of the weight machines. I'm a senior and I like that the fitness classes don't have loud pounding music. I belong to LA Fitness and I like some of their classes but I've been startled that about halfway through they turn up the volume and the mirrors are rattling and the speakers are crackling and I just walk out. It's unbearable even with ear plugs. Yeah and I'm in a band and even find that a bit loud. Guess I didn't destroy my hearing when I was young. Seems like a great facility and though I don't have kids or grandkids I appreciate when there is a community facility that can serve so many needs.
I like that I am able to build a sense of community during the exercise classes at the Y. The instructors are very friendly and personable and other class participants are as well. It feels good to be a part of a group that is welcoming and fun.
The Y has great circuit exercise machines, heavy weights section, aerobics station with bands. Plus multiple ROM, Yoga, and Silver sneakers classes for all age groups.
Basketball and Pickleball court.
Olympic heated pool is great for season swimming and water aerobics.
Great gym hours available for your personal schedules.
Baby care and young children classes.
Best part is Gym membership fees.
Thank you to all YMCA staff.
