I take part in, mostly, Silver Sneakers and occasionally chair yoga, the treadmill and other equipment.
I love everything about the West Y especially, the leadership team and more specifically, Jackie W.
Seems like a lot of activities and the kids have lots of different things to do each day of the week to keep them occupied and off the screen time which is awesome.
My daughter is doing swim lessons. She's catching on great and there is only one other kid in the class lately there has been two instructors as well so she is getting a lot of good one on one time. She'll be swimming on her own in no time.
My daughter really had a good time there. There are a lot of kids but I think they managed the situation very well and very professional. Would do it again.
We like the art and STEM activities, the emphasis on reading and physical movement.
The counselors are more involved with the kids than previous camps we have attended and hold high behavior standards.
The challenge is the volume. There are a lot of kids in the pool and gym which can be over stimulating, but the Y is accommodating to wearing earplugs.
The pool schedule is great, as there are always several lap lanes open. The locker rooms are very spacious....however, the lockers themselves are really old and need replacing ! !
