My daughter has been attending Spectrum Montessori at Portola for about a year and a half, and we’ve had a great experience. We especially appreciate Ms. Mahnaz, Ms. Anahi, and Ms. Michelle—they are wonderful with the kids and always kind and supportive. Honestly, everyone there has been friendly and helpful, and it’s been a really positive environment for our daughter.

Leaning to how make friends and engage other children is a valuable life skill. Spectrum Montessori does a fantastic job promoting kids to make friends on their own. This goes beyond play based learning where kids socialize in a supervised platform. On thr academic side the Transitional Kindergarten program exceeds the IUSD kindergarten standards. The kids are easily able to count well into the 100s, are doing 3 digit addition, and are able to spell simple words. To my surprise, the kids even were able to read a few street names.

My daughter is so clearly loved, cared for, supported, and TAUGHT extremely effectively. My daughter's speech, independence, and social skills have skyrocketed every since she started at Spectrum Montessori. Lastly, the teachers really are SO kind and loving yet firm and consistent. I wouldn't want my daughter in any other preschool.

My two year old went from 3 word phrases to full blown sentences, questioning things, understanding her emotions better, and she academically is doing amazing. She’s learning the write and read and has already started with math.

SM-PS is amazing! I see so much growth and confidence with my two girls! The teachers and staff are all so kind and welcoming! There’s so many extra activities after school for the kids! I’m so happy we chose this school! I have no regrets!

I really love the dedicated teachers and their assistants, who demonstrate compassion and empathy everyday and it is great to see various styles of pedagogy being used to help individual kids and on a group level. A very big shout out to all the staff, teachers, and assistant teachers! Thank you for taking care of our future generations and for all that you do.

I cannot imagine a more friendly, warm, welcoming, and positive environment for my daughter. I enrolled her for her verbal development as well as advancing her social skills, and within the first week, my husband and I noticed a significant improvement in her sentences. The school itself has incredibly kind teachers and staff who know every single child by name. They are caring while also being structured and consistent. The facility is clean and beautiful. It's no wonder my daughter looks forward to school every morning!
