I've just loved the open and nurturing environment (we love our infant room teachers!) and great balance between creative play and practical life skills focus. Our son comes to school with a smile on his face every day ready to play with friends, be supported by the teachers and staff, and learn about the world in a safe space.
Our school leader is very dedicated to the teachers and parents, and has an upbeat spirit that she brings to the community. The teachers work to engage and help the children grow and develop in a warm and joyful environment. It is clear from seeing our son at the end of the day that he has been nurtured and paid attention to.
We love the structure of the Montessori school day and truly believe it’s helping our kids develop in the best way.
One thing that we would love to see is a one pager or something similar, especially transitioning, on best practices for each room. Sometimes it feels implied that we know things that we haven’t ever been told. There is some information in the packet that we fill out when they move out. But a separate one pager would be amazing to continue to reference.
The environment for my kids is not only well-organized but also warm and welcoming. It's a place where they feel safe, supported, and encouraged to thrive.
The staff at Step-By-Step in St. Anthony are absolutely phenomenal. I'd like to specifically mention the director, Sheri. She is so incredibly good at her job and gets to know every child and family personally and makes sure each child is thriving. My child has flourished at this school. He often displays skills and knowledge that I didn't know he was learning. I can't recommend this place enough.
Are child is very engaged with learning and excited to go everyday. It has been a really good experience for her and great prep for going to kindergarten.
I like how engaged the teachers are. They seem to really care about the kids. I really enjoy all the activities that are structured, and how clearly it encourages growth with our son.
