I have one eleven and one thirteen year tutoring at Sylvan. Both of their grades have improved since we started getting them help in math fundamentals and occasional homework help. Areas in which they had lacked confidence and were in need of foundational work, they now approach with renewed optimism. The kids look forward to the tutoring sessions (1 hr ea., twice a week), and they return afterward happy and ready to go on with their other activities. The staff is very helpful with feedback on progress and an academic plan going forward. They include the kids in the feedback sessions, and treat the kids with respect. Sylvan's rates are pricey, but competitive. For our family the extra monthly expenditure is worth it.
