Our two children attend Sylvan and it has been a great experience thus far. They have been attending for only two months, and we can already see a change in their confidence. They are more willing to tackle a problem and solve it. The teaching is very thorough, and they are very helpful and patient. So far, our kids have learned alot of things that they have not been taught in public school. The child is taught at their own pace. So, if your child is in grade 9, and is currently performing at a grade 7 level, they will work with them at the appropriate level until they are caught up to where they need to be. I would highly recommend them.
