Sylvan truly cares about my children. All three of my kids have attended Sylvan for math and reading and I have seen improvement with all of them. They love earning tokens for the store. I can’t say enough good things about the teachers and directors at the Brighton location!!

The kind, patient instructors here have consistently encouraged my child while maintaining high expectations. I have appreciated the regular parent/director conferences so I can support specific needs at home. It's also nice to see how the content objectives line up with grade level expectations, but my child works on her identified needs at Sylvan, regardless of what her class may be working on at school. I think this has been helpful in making sure she doesn't later struggle with concepts at school because she had to move on in past years without fully mastering the material at that earlier level. While we have been a Sylvan family for years now, I would expect that a shorter-term relationship for test prep or just working through a challenging semester would also prove valuable for many families.

Our children love their learning experience with Sylvan and feel more confident in their academics as a result. We believe this contributes to their healthy self esteem and wellbeing. Sylvan is helping us fill in the gaps that may otherwise go unnoticed. We feel well taken care of by the staff.

My son desperately needed qualified teachers in a small group setting to teach him the material (in this case, reading comprehension) at his developmental level. The public school no longer taught this subject matter because of his grade level. Sylvan has far exceeded my expectations. I wish I had contacted them sooner, versus hiring private tutors as I had done in the past. Sylvan’s approach assesses your child’s current skills and then meets your child where they are at developmentally by tutoring to their specific needs. I would highly recommend to anyone who’s child is struggling academically.

Very thorough and knowledgeable. Willing to consult with teachers and attend meetings. Our son has loved being there and one month in we are already seeing a difference in his skills and confidence as a reader. So glad we decided to do this!
