Hello, I am very please with interactions with the Director of the program, Suman Joseph. She is extremely pleasant, helpful and accommodating. In regards to the program itself, I have seen improvements in my grandson's reading and writing in only a month 1/2. Looking forward to seeing more improvements as he continues in the program. We had a great experience with Sylvan years ago with my daughter. Now my son is using Sylvan and the teaching is fantastic. This Sylvan location has an amazing owner and management is great to deal with. If anyone is looking for support, this is the place to go. Very supportive staff and instructor was great with my son.

I signed my son up for tutoring at Sylvain to boost his learning for the remainder of the school year (grade two). We loved the one on one tutoring that we received online. I felt it really prepared my son for his return to online school. There was a noticeable improvement with focus and attention in a short time! Suman and everyone at the Burlington location are wonderful. My son loved all of the teachers. The location where the classes are held in person was very nice as well.

My daughter struggled with math and lacked confidence in this subject. This lack of confidence and fear of the subject impacted her overall confidence. She believed she was 'not good' at math and lacked the natural mindset needed to do well. Now in high school, it was of great importance to seek some additional help. Our first meeting with Sylvan assured us on their processes and I appreciated their focus on assessing the cracks in the foundation of her math skills and addressing those in order to help rebuild confidence and experience the positive ripple effect in understanding and learning math with those foundations repaired. Not only has her math mark improved by over 15% but her confidence has grown so much. You cannot put a value on this transition.

It is too early to tell if my son has benefitted from the Sylvan experience. Though he is very comfortable with his teachers and does not complain about doing the work. So far so good!

There was excellent communication - I had a concern about the program for our son Max (a general lack of engagement, possibly due to his age), and Alfred immediately called me to help work out a solution. We discussed several options, and he was incredibly patient. Not only did he help to resolve the situation, but he literally contributed in subsequent lessons to the kids' learning and joined in on the Zoom sessions in order to support the instructor. As well, Alfred has a great rapport with the kids and is really wonderful working with them - I was very very impressed with his ability to engage the kids and ask particular questions about coding that helped them with their thinking process. I would definitely sign Max up for future Sylvan sessions that work well for Max, and I hope that one day we can have Alfred as an instructor or coach for Max as well. Friendly , helpful, kind, speedy with questions and answer when in need. Accommodating to financial situations. The 2 tutors my daughter have are wonderful and she feels relaxed and is feeling better about math as well as self esteem is getting better. Overall excellent experience in everyway.
