We moved to Cary in August. When we moved my son was struggling really bad in school. With me helping him at home as much as I could with extra practice, worksheets, reading with him, studying multiplication facts with him he just was not catching on which gave me a lot of concern. I reached out to sylvan & now my son attends Sylvan, when I say the improvement of him being in tutoring has helped words can’t even begin to describe the improvement. It is amazing to see how far he has came & has struggled with school since pre-k but never had tutoring places in our area back home to attend. It has been a blessing seeing the improvement not only in tutoring but as well as in school. Me as a parent isn’t the only one who notices either I have had several teachers let me know the improvement they see in my child as well as family members. Sylvan is a wonderful place for children to get the extra help they need for school. As far as parents you are never left out of the loop of your child’s success in improvement, you get to meet with the director to see your child’s improvement in depth & speak about things deeper than just mentioning to the director that you see struggles with in other areas. My son loves attending & never gives me any problems on days he has tutoring.

My son, 6th grade, has been taking math tutoring sessions at the Cary/Morrisville branch for a few months and we have been quite satisfied. My son has learned a lot from tutors who are kind and competent. Sylvan also has a systematic website where I can check upcoming schedule and check my child's progress. The administrative staff are kind and responsive.

My son in 6th grade has been taking Sylvan math tutoring for a month and he appreciates his time with his tutors. The tutors are kind and competent and I think it is great that my son gets to work with a few different tutors depending on their availability because everyone has a different style and it is refreshing to meet new people. The Cary/Morrisville manager Michelle is kind and responsive as well.

My daughter gets the necessary help for homework and SAT .I wish there were a teacher who knew the computer languages taught in high school. In all, its been a very good experience!

Kyriokos, the center director, has been so nice with my son. He relates to him about his sport and interest. Sylvan has been very flexible with times and tutors for our son. They allow us to ramp up or ramp down in hours as we need.

The staff has made a difference for my child. They are friendly, helpful, encouraging, and, oh so knowledgeable. We came for help with SAT prep for a couple months and ended up staying months longer for other assistance as well. Highly recommend!

I have had experience with Sylvan in Cary, NC since mid 2021. We contacted Sylvan to help our son. Our son met several challenges: 1) recently moved from other country in 6th grade, 2) learning disability plus 2) language barrier. The Director Mrs. Yulnique Johnson is the BEST. She has made a big impact in our son education and in our life. She was able to understand our son unique needs and was able to make a plan that continued from more than 2 years with great progresses, with a lot of effort, with many "extra miles" done for the sake of our son education, with "creative" thinking, adaptability, and with the pleasure of seeing the great results. Now our son is in High School. We appreciate so much the dedication, responsibility, ability to interact with school teachers, willingness to improve our son's progress, and kindness of Mrs Yulnique Johnson. I am also so grateful to the Spanish speakers that have been helping our son on daily bases with kindness and professionalism. The bilingual instruction is vital for our son. Thank you Sylvan Cary for having Mrs Yulnique Johnson. I just wish she will always stay close to the parents, because she cannot be easily replaced. We need her. We need people like her, with professionalism and understanding of educational needs in real life.

All the teachers are really good and Yulnique and Kyriakos both are just amazing. They guide you so well and keep us on track schedule wise.

It’s a great program- very easy to follow and has helped my daughter increase her SAT scores as well as her knowledge. The only downfall is sometimes the tutor can not dedicate her time equally among all of the students so there were a few sessions that felt like not much was accomplished. Overall we hope that the extra tutoring will help my daughter when taking the real SAT.
