my grandson has attended tutoring at Sylvan 3 times since he's been in school.
He is now getting help with highschool geometry, Sylvan is filling in the gaps in his elementary education and he informs me that the tutoring he's receiving now is
definitely helping in his classwork and his understanding of the subject matter.

My son is doing a reading program with Sylvan and he absolutely loves it. He just turned 5 so he’s on the younger side but his teachers have all been really patient and great with him. Can’t recommend Sylvan enough for kindergarten readiness. There is so much for them to learn ahead of formally starting school and I think the Sylvan program is extremely beneficial for us. He’s learning kindergarten prep but he’s also learning how to work with kids in a small group, how to take instruction from a teacher, be independent, and how to earn things. The reward based learning is very motivating for my son. We love Sylvan!

Owner Bill Kramer is a marvel, and his associate, Allen, is attentive and eager to help in any way possible.
People say it’s terribly expensive, but what price your child’s enjoyment in learning and being confident in their educative process!

My daughter loves going to Sylvan .she is always excited to be there. The difference between Sylvan and Kumon that I heard and saw was the homework paper for kids to take home and parents have to involve which is ok but it’s too much when u have a big family and too busy with younger kids around. I am sure Kumon is great cuz one of my friend girl who was 4 ans she started going there ans now she is in kindergarten she has no problem solving but the homework is something time consuming…. Overall I like the Sylvan environment and the teachers are great .

My kids really like Sylvan El Cerrito. The teachers make them feel real comfortable with learning. They are so excited after each session of what they learned that day. I love how they updated on progress of how your child is doing and what your child is working on after a the 3 weeks. At anytime you want to know how your child is doing you can request for a progress report.
