Response From TallGrass Spa
April 23, 2026
Dear Ms. McRaith,
Thank you for being our guest! I am so sorry that you felt your massage was just ok. Our mission is to awe and inspire and I’m so sorry we missed that mark for you.
You also mention the cost and drive. I do hope that you did not feel blindsided by either as we work to be fully transparent with our guests via our website and in all phone conversations.
I see that your last visit was in 2011. I am truly sorry that our updates were not more impactful! Since then, we’ve remodeled the hair salon, the nail salon, and the lower level. We added on the beautiful Meditation Room (just off the Quiet Room), remodeled the main level steam room, resurfaced the patio and revamped the outdoor fountain, too.
And yes, our prices have gone up over the last 15 years. It’s the only way to support our amazing team members with a living wage and benefits – they are the heart of TallGrass. Our prices reflect our commitment to employing team members that are not only skilled but gifted, kind, talented and attentive, and provide a service far above and beyond the average spa and salon. We ensure that sanitation and cleanliness are coupled with warm, beautiful surroundings; and that our guests can relax and leave the world behind or have fun spa-ing with friends and family. And of course, we hope that our amenities like our comfy robes and slippers, private steam showers, Quiet Room with cucumber water, Aveda tea, snacks, books, and magazines; as well as our meditation room, hummingbird-filled patio, and gardens, set us apart!
I will reach out to you personally so that we can connect.
