I needed to de stress and relax and Tallgrass is the perfect place. My massage was amazing as was my facial. The staff and therapists are highly skilled and attentive and I will be coming back!

I am a longtime fan of Tallgrass and local to the area. This week I had a subpar manicure/pedicure experience - so I am offering this review - not to get the provider disciplined- as I am sure it is very hard to fill positions - but more as a training opportunity. She said she had been with Tallgrass about 2 months.
There were 3 instances where I had to correct her because her methods were hurting me ( and I am not one to usually speak up - rather just bear it)
Lower leg massage - she was digging into my shin bone area vs the calf muscles.
Filling my nails where the reverse side was sanding the pad of my finger ( I had not said anything when she had done the same on my pedicure)
Using the steel cuticle tool on my fingers too roughly - 3 days later my finger is still raw and split.
Lastly - and this is hard to bring up and I would not - if not for the prior items- when I come to Tallgrass it is a splurge that I look forward to - in fact this week it was bc it was my birthday and I had taken the day off. But when I come - I do expect providers to have a clean and professional appearance- as I am trusting them- this provider gave a slovenly appearance - edgy attire, unkept nails, hair that didn’t appear clean.
I normally don’t submit reviews - but thought you should know about my experience and hope you can use some of this for training purposes.

Even though its a drive from Denver, it felt like a mini retreat. I love the products used and the women that provided the massage and facial were excellent. I also really loved the family room where I could relax and knit before and after my services.

Not only “likely” but I have already booked a return!
It was the most wonderful combo of therapeutic ( been having leg pain) but the dreamy relaxing, mind nicely numbing pleasure.
My therapist was Marilyn. If like you, I have had many dozens of massages in my senior life.
She just excels in every way. I was in such a” good hands” 😉
You are in a space like no other at Tall Grass. The drive is just magic, and I live in Evergreen.
Life is too short not to go to the best.

Hi there! I have been coming to Tall Grass for years and have always appreciated the location and atmosphere, which is very special. My husband gave me a generous gift certificate for my birthday, so I will be back. Having said that, I didn't enjoy my most recent visit as much as I have in the past. The front desk staff does not seem to be trained on how to add in services. I had to as three times to get some elevations because it was not intuitive in the computer system. The manager came and cleared things up, but if I hadn't pushed, I wouldn't have gotten what I requested.
The most important thing is the massage. I signed up for a Swedish massage. In recent years, I've noticed that many therapists are using a technique where they run the side of their arm over your back (instead of using their hands to find knots and address specific areas). This does nothing to alleviate tension, which is the whole point of getting a massage. Jessica was very nice, but despite spending time on my upper back where I asked for considerable focus, she used this technique and I walked away with more tension than when I arrived.
Lastly, I added the scalp and foot elevations since I used to love getting a scalp and foot massage. Jessica was very kind and offered to remove the scalp elevation from my bill when I shared that I wasn't expecting for their to be that much oil, but this still left me with a problem. My head was dowsed with oil and it would have gotten all over my clothes and the seat of my car if I didn't take a shower. Because there was a problem with the water pump, I had a very cold shower with minimal water pressure and was just able to get enough oil out to drive and get the rest of it (and the shampoo) out at home. I live more than an hour away and had to cancel plans I had on my return trip due to this situation.
Next time I come, I'm hoping to have a traditional Swedish massage where I actually feel relief afterward. I will also not purchase any elevations since they added little and actually caused challenges I wasn't expecting. Thank you for asking and listening to the feedback.
