We love the staff and curriculum at The Academy! From previous surveys, they listened and started including more images of the activities they do during the week, I really appreciate that improvement. It helps me spur the conversation with my kid about what they do in school, and it’s cute!
The transition into the new program was smooth and stress-free, thanks to the warm and welcoming staff. It’s clear that everyone genuinely cares and is committed to supporting the child & their families.
The Academy's people are what sets this school apart. From the moment we walked in, all of the teachers and staff are extremely warm, welcoming, and nurturing. We also love the educational curriculum that the Academy has, which is what drew us into the school. The teachers we have interacted with are so great. Please keep this as a requirement when hiring new teachers!
The main negative is the lack of a vacation policy. This is our third school we have attended in our local area, and from our research and discussions with locals, the Academy is one of the few schools without a vacation policy. With a week in December where the school is closed, and with daycare costs rising, there should be some time of credit that parents should choose to utilize for family vacations in the summer or something to leverage during that closed week in December. It is a tough decision for parents to take a week off for vacation knowing we will still be paying for services that are not utilized.
We love the Academy. The teachers are nurturing, caring, and communicative. We have had a positive experience for all 3 of our children from 1yr old through Pre-K.
We love Ms Nicole!! Our kiddo has such a close relationship with her. He has been learning so much in her class. Skills like dressing himself as well as daily routines and fun art projects. We love that he gets gym time especially when the weather isn’t nice enough for the kids to be outside. Everyday we drop him off knowing that he’s having a great time, learning, and feeling safe.
The staff makes it feel so welcoming and I know that my daughters are loved and taken care of. I like that there is a curriculum that is about exploring and questioning.
My kids seem to really like it and love their teachers very much. When they play teacher through pretend play I can see how kind and caring the teachers are while setting boundaries.
Our daughter has been going to The Academy since she was 2. She just turned 5. She loves it! All of the teachers and staff are great. They follow a good routine with learning, projects and fun.
We are really happy with the care that our 2 year old is getting in the Toddler 2A room. It’s obvious that Ms. Nicole and Ms. Drenda are passionate about their work and teaching the kids. They are great about keeping them engaged, safe, loved and cared for. The communication has been excellent!
The one are of improvement I would love to see is picture updates to the ProCare app on a daily/regular basis. We get them sporadically but would love to see them daily if possible. Thanks!
The staff is amazing! Everyone greets you with a smile and you can tell they truly care for our kids. We have been at multiple other daycares and the academy is on a whole other level.
They have such a well run school and we always feel good knowing our daughter is there being well taken care of.
