The coaches are friendly and open to hearing my concerns and issues when I am in there. Recently I have hut my back (how, I don't know) and the coach was able to adjust that week's exercises(since I still wanted to work out) to accomodate that. They encourage without being intense, unless I need it! They assist me in scheduling changes for doctor appointments and vacations out of state.
I do wish they had more equipment or options for stretching classes, or something like that. I like the one to one option, as they can assist me in focusing more on correct body alignment and form.
I do wish it was not as expensive; as a senior citizen, it takes alot out of my budget.
Overall, I am very happy with the Apex office/gym/workout area. Have been going for a year and will continue. I am much stronger than I was a year ago and only use my cane intermittantly now.
The staff are very experienced and listen to feedback. They supervise closely and I have confidence in their ability to provide a safe session. We are very pleased with our experience with Exercise Coach as part of our overall exercise and training program. We also find the staff to be caring, friendly and positive.
We like the staff at the studio very much! They are knowledgeable about exercise plans for older adults who want to ward off sarcopenia and osteoporosis in aging. They are encouraging and supportive. The facility is very clean. The workouts are surprisingly challenging. One would think that 20 minutes is not enough time for a challenge yet these exercises have pushed us to limits and then growth. We see improvements in strength after only 3 weeks. We highly recommend this company as a safe training facility that respects where each person starts and gradually increases the work to help you gain strength without injury.
I like having a coach
I like that the machines are set to my body measurements and record my history
I am only competing against myself and my previous performance
The time is only 20 minutes but it is definitely a workout
I like that at age 79 I do not have to get up and down off the floor
It is not a huge gym with lots of people and lots of noise. The coaches are awesome, encouraging and kind. 20 minutes per workout on the computerized machines shows progress and is a great way to keep a routine of self care without a huge time commitment.
