Everyone was extremely friendly.
However, I am a 70 year old woman learning how to swim, because my whole life I was afraid of water. My instructor Maddie was very polite, nice, friendly and patient with me. She was very professional.
I could use more lessons, but at $160.00 for 4 days gets very expensive.
We liked the organization and ease in registering. We were impressed with the friendliness and professionalism of all the staff, both front desk and swim instructors. We were delighted in the progress our grandchildren made in their swimming. We highly recommend the Thousand Oaks YMCA.
The lessons were excellent, my daughter learned well and had a lot of fun. The staff is super helpful and flexible and showed that they genuinely care.
Love the young ladies helping my son learn to swim. Juliana, has patience and took her time. We are scheduled for lessons again and I hoping to have her there.
Our kids really enjoy kid fit. We do wish there was a class for the younger age range who worked out like a PE setting. There seems to be a few 3-5 year olds who are interested in their older siblings kid fit class.
I love the variety of group class opportunities. I tried aqua tai chi, I never knew it even existed, but on my “try something new” summer goal, I signed up. Lynn is so kind and knowledgeable of each Tai chi move, I have found an excercise that brings so much happiness to my heart. I love my YMCA!!!! I tried a dance class yesterday at 7pm, I had so much fun!!!!
This facility has everything a person or family would ever need: free weights, pulley machines, bikes/steppers/treadmills, class rooms, a basketball court, a large swimming pool, racquet ball courts and tennis courts. The staff is decent to deal with and the place is very well maintained. You could not find a better gym/health club for the price or location.
The Y.M.C.A. is a wonderful site to exercise. Its family atmosphere is very cohesive for wanting to spend time there working out.
One suggestion: In the men's room, if a mirror could be installed in the 90 degree corner would be greatly appreciated. Many times one cannot see someone coming from the dressing area, which causes a near-miss between the two people.
