It’s only my first week. Too early to evaluate programs and activities at the Y.

It’s a really nice gym and the price for a membership is very reasonable which is why I go regularly.

I really enjoy having classes so early in the morning. I know many people are not early risers but for those of us who are we appreciate the staff being there for us at 6. The staff is always so pleasant even early in the morning.

I absolutely LOVE the Zumba classes and teachers. So much fun and fitness all packed in a short 50-minute class.

I've been a member since 2009 (when it was Triton) and I really like the group exercise classes, especially Beth's classes and Stephanie's Dance FX class. My biggest complaint is that the Y doesn't check for class registrations before members can participate in group exercise classes. I've been in some classes that were way overcrowded, and I've also seen some members walk in, then turn around and leave because there were too many people (more than the allowed maximum) in the room. Failure to check for class registrations is unfair and inconsiderate to those of us who take the time and effort to register in advance. You should put reminder notices in the doors of the group exercise room AND give the instructors the authority to do a roll call and identify people who haven't signed up. I saw Stephanie do this once for her Dance FX class and she asked non-registrants to leave, but they snuck back in after class had begun. That's just wrong!!!

I enjoy the body pump classes, and though yoga is great when I can catch one it’s a long walk and requires extra planning to make sure I arrive on time to get to the studio. The facility is large and clean, and the folks who come here are generally good people and respectful of each other. Parking is no issue. My only suggestion for improvement is adding some heavier weights in the body pump studio. The heaviest barbell weight is currently 10 pounds, and some members aren’t challenged with sixty pounds on their squat weight. Having a dozen twenty pound weights for the barbells would be helpful.

The facilities are clean, there are plenty of machines, the kids club is a fun area for my daughter, plenty of tennis courts, my wife loves the yoga and barret classes. When the facility is packed, it is manageable to find machines / free weights. Staff is also friendly.

I like the group exercises and the environment most of all. I think this YMCA does a remarkable job of fostering a friendly and respectful environment. My only complaint is the lack of weight (reps, body pump), classes offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I would like to have the option of attending a class on those days but the options are limited. Other than that I’m happy I have a gym I actually look forward to going to.
