I really enjoy Rock Steady Boxing. The coaches are very personable and helpful to each of us individually. They always set a positive environment to encourage each of us in whatever we are able to do that day. They are extremely tuned in to each of us during the hour. Especially Katie and Emily are super supportive of us in our daily condition. They always set a good example for the other coaches and each coach follows their lead.
I am so thankful I found this group to to come to for exercise and support (3) afternoons a week.
Great staff, great atmosphere. It's almost like a home away from home sometimes. It would be nice if there was one of those water bottle filling stations as part of the water fountains though. The mobile website also doesn't let me scroll down to view classes later in the day anymore since it was updated, but that's definitely not the fault of the Ann Arbor location specifically just something I noticed when I try to book a class on the go.
Title boxing is great! I would do anything for a 9 or 10 am class, or 3 pm — something when kids are in school/childcare that isn’t lunch. And more kickboxing!
For me, I love how my brain shuts off and all I think about is the next hit. The instructors are friendly, safe, amd always willing to take some time to help.
Staff always seems happy to see me when I come in the door. They are very positive. This makes a big impression on a bleak winter day.

Staff is helpful and kind. The atmosphere is great. Title offers a fun way to stay in shape and learn some practical skills at the same time. Great way to help maintain a sense of community in these trying times.
I have been a member of this gym for about 4 months now, and joining was possibly the best decision I made in 2025. I came in with no prior boxing or fighting knowledge but a desire to learn and have proudly watch watched myself progress significantly. I consider the staff/trainers to be friends who constantly push me to be the best version of myself, and genuinely look forward to going to the gym (a phenomenon I never before experienced). As a University of Michigan Grad Student, boxing has not only been great for my physical health, but my mental health too providing a great outlet for effective stress relief. I can not say enough good things about this gym and the team who keeps the lights on and the energy always at 10!
I'm a member of the Rock Steady group. Everyone, staff, volunteers and others with Parkinson's are terrific, kind and supportive.
