I wanted to purchase an e-bike from a local dealer because I wanted to be able to take the bike to an authorized, local mechanic in order to maintain the bike and fix problems. I have been very pleased with my purchase of the Verve +2 about a year ago. It is quite comfortable to ride and was relatively affordable. I only wish it wasn't quite so heavy. Friends have purchased lighter, more expensive e-bikes but it's worth it to me to have a local dealer who stands behind their product. I just got a tune-up with some minor repairs; the mechanics were friendly, the work done quickly. Also, the distance I ride is perfectly adequate for the battery. I went on a two-day bike trip and didn't have anyplace to recharge it where I was staying so I rode in the ECO mode as much as possible the first day and the battery was adequately charged for two days of riding about 60-70 miles total.
