I rated the Trek store in Lake Grove a 10 entirely because of the staff and specifically Trevor. I have used a few bike stores previously and was very happy with them but continue to now only go to Trek because of Trevor. He's very helpful, quick, and doesn't make me feel stupid with my stupid questions. Additionally, he doesn't mind showing you how he fixes the bike so that I can actually take care of some of the easy fixes at home.
Andy and Trevor are super knowledgeable, and they are excellent mechanics. A store is just merchandise. The people who represent the product get the return business of the cycling community.
I have a Roscoe 7 hardtail mtb. This is my fist trek bike. It has a great ride. It’s fast down hills and move around corners. I have been able to do things on this bike that I haven’t been able to do on my last bike.
I got my first service done last week and the guys did it in a few hours. I think all they had to do was grease some areas up and torque a few area also. The guys at the desk were friendly and informative.
I’ve been working with Trek for many years, and no matter which store you walk into on Long Island, you’ll always find a friendly team of knowledgeable sales staff and skilled bike technicians.
I’ve especially enjoyed working with Trevor and the crew in Lake Grove. As someone who rides and races several high-end bikes, having a mechanic you trust is everything — and Trevor always keeps my bikes perfectly dialed in. He also offers excellent advice on the small performance tweaks that make a big difference.
I highly recommend the Trek stores here on Long Island to anyone — from casual riders to serious cyclists.
Hands down one of the best experiences I've had with any bike store. Andy was phenomenal and the rest of the crew were so supportive and friendly. They clearly know what they're doing.
