Getting ready for a biking this weekend and I discovered my cyclometer wasn't working. Popped my bike into my car and drove to Rockville Trek. Once again, Oliver, saved the day. Figured out my current one was kaput and I bought and he quickly installed a new one, - lickety split, -it was ready to go in 10 minutes. The Domane is the best fit bike for my contact points. As a Bike Fitter for 25 years now in the DMV I reccomend the Domane product to most of my tight hamstring clients. Its a bike I have never gotten a bad review from a client on. This will be my FIRST ever carbon bike and the bonus is 105 Di2 shifting. I look forward to my first bike ride as I spent yesterday setting it up with my Cambuim Saddle, pedals a wider handlebars that rise 15 mm. I started out with a Trek 2000 alumium bike decades ago so this is my full circle back to Trek.

Brought my bike in for repairs and the tech by the name of Oliver was very knowledgeable pointing out actual issues that I should consider addressing. Many times techs tend to over exaggerate concerns, but Oliver was direct, not pushy and so I trusted his recommendations. He sent me a PO before any work was done so I was aware of what I’d end up having to pay for without surprises, and was really pleasant when meeting him in person. I intend on bringing my bike back to Oliver just based on the good serivce I experienced. Thanks for supporting the cycling community.
We went to three places trying to find a bike. Finally we found this location. Everyone was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. There are plenty of options as well.
Let me tell you a little about my experience. Our journey—mine and my girlfriend’s—started when we were looking for help to purchase a bike we’d been thinking about for a long time but weren’t sure about. Like any normal consumer, we Googled and checked the highest reviews, which led us to REI. There, we found an overwhelming number of bikes but zero help. I’m a complete beginner with no idea what we should get so we could ride together, and despite having many questions, I got no answers. Sometimes you need to hear things from a real person with actual experience, and we left disappointed with more questions than answers.
Next, we went to TREK in Rockville, where we met Patty—an amazing salesperson who was incredibly patient and took the time to explain and answer all my questions. We looked at some bikes but decided, like dummies, to check out another place before deciding. We told Patty we’d be back and visited Good Vibes Bike in Rockville, which, let me tell you, had zero good vibes and the most arrogant people.
So, we went back to Patty. With her amazing customer service skills and patience, she explained everything we needed to know and helped us figure out what we should both get. That human touch made all the difference. I highly recommend stopping your search and going straight to see Patty if you want a great bike-buying experience.
