The adult exercise classes are just what all adults should be looking into. Instructors are excellent, and the classes are diverse enough so that anyone can find something appealing.
I especially like the classes that cover a range of activities (i.e., everything from aerobic to balance to HIIT and weight training).
I belong to "The Silver Sneakers Club" at the Y, I have participated in a couple of classes in the past, and always enjoyed them. I'm hoping to start visiting on a regular schedule to improve my stamina. I'm considering working with a trainer to improve my routine.
Lots of variety, lots of desirable class times for working professionals.
The facility is very clean. It is never overwhelmingly crowded. The staff and instructors are very helpful and professional. I could not ask for a nicer facility.
I absolutely love that there is no blaring music in the equipment area making my morning workouts an environment where I can actually think, plan my day, meditate, listen to podcasts, books on tape, etc. My business partner and I actually have planning meetings on the treadmills regularly - lol, shhhhh, maybe that means I'm not working out hard enough since I can breathe and speak. Thank you!!
I usually go to the Briargate Y but was in the Monument area and stopped in to work out. Does this branch not have the rule for mothers of young children to use the girls locker room? The two times I have been there in the last two weeks there were young children in the adult women's locker room. I checked the girls locker room and there was no construction or any reason that I could see that they couldn't use it. In fact, there was no one in there and the women's had lots of ladies. Just wondering. I don't want to be a tattle tale but I am way past the age of wanting little 3 year olds staring at me while I get dressed! And the other ones were about 9-10 years old accompanied by what looked like a grandma, but they could have easily been in the girls room by themselves. Plus they were noisy and disruptive playing in the lockers, etc... I sound like a crotchety old lady, really I'm not! Just kind of would like the rules to be enforced. Thank you.
Beautiful facility, loads of classes, scenery to-die-for! Great Zumba class on Saturday. Would come there sometimes, but I live almost in Fountain, so much too far away!!
I love the Tai Chi classes with Chris. I'm looking forward to doing silver sneakers activities. I !also enjoy the machines, treadmills and recumbent bikes. Thanks
Love the amount and variety of classes - very good instructors and great classes.
The only thing I would say is maybe a better flow of getting people out of the room and the new group into the room - maybe 5-10 minutes allowed between classes to keep a better schedule and less chaos.
