I very much appreciate the Gentle Strength class on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
The space provided is not adequate, considering the members that attend this class.
After using the elevator, class members must navigate over exercise equipment that is used by members in a different class. There is no other way to access the Gentle Strength Studio.
Stepping over weights, mats, poles, etc. while in a wheelchair or using a cane is creating a fall risk.
These studio space is not adequate for the number of YMCA members that would like to participate in this class. Members are often Waitlisted.
I suspect that this message will be ignored, deleted & hidden from YMCA executives from Richmond.
I frequently swim in the lap pool. As with the instructor for the Gentle Strength class, the Life Guards are Wonderful! Professional, mindful of the YMCA members helpful & kind.
I love the Tuckahoe YMCA & I appreciate all that the staff does to create a great atmosphere.
Chair yoga instructor 3-17 @0945 was excellent.
Lady at front counter had zero interest in helping me. She looked up at me then looked back down. The 2 ladies seemed more interested in the guy wearing a suit than to help a customer. I ended up asking another member who was very helpful.
I love all the mind and body classes and have tried a few of the group classes and all the teachers have been so friendly and helpful.
I tried the Vinyasa Yoga on Sunday and it was wonderful. The teacher cued smoothly and would come around with the participants permission to do modifications. She played great music as well. I usually go to gentle yoga on Sundays, but will be switching to this class now. Very fun and worth the drive!
