All in all very smooth, organized, advanced, etc. The secure website to organize everything and ensure accurate/correct information was flowing and scams were avoided was amazing. The snacks in your office at closing were also a very welcome bonus. The only qualm I have is that it would be better in the sense of being more communicative to explain to clients what each fee is for in simple English and be prepared to explain why the cost is the way it is. Being a first time homebuyer, I had to have a large amount of trust in the system to go ahead with everything. Some things may just be at a certain price because the market slowly decided it in this very bustling area (NoVa), some things may be at a certain price because businesses take advantage of an action involving high cash flow, but could be lower if done by someone else, leading me to want to possibly not use your service in the future. For example, paying over $600 for someone to do a largely digital appraisal of a house, or spending over $200 on a title search and title examination not knowing why those two are not simply together for one fee, or paying multiple administrative/processing fees, etc. Essentially, the unexplained high cost of things that appear to an admittedly untrained eye to not take that much time, leads me to view some as superfluous, which is why I chose the cheapest option of one of your optional services.

My only gripe was no one at the office ever picked up the phone- I understand that they are very busy with appointments but sometimes one needs to confirm details such as wire transfer details etc and a quick phone call is needed for the same.
Other than that, I got email responses within 1-2 business days so I got most of my qns answered.
