Instructors are very good with the children. They assure the children are learning all skills to be safe in water as well as developing good swimming skills.
varied activities, good instructors
Suggestion: a weight-lifting class (not the same as body pump) for seniors/parkinson's patients. Weight lifting is highly recommended for seniors and for people with motor neuron diseases. But, it's not the same as weight lifting for the young/body-building. Without proper instruction, older folks trying to lift weights could do some serious damage to their bodies. You have all that new equipment. Wouldn't it be great if a broader spectrum of Y members could use it?
The wellness center/gym community at the Y is fantastic. Working with trainer Max has been a wonderful experience, both in terms of his expertise with weight training and his providing a program to help meet my unique goals/challenges. Max recognizes and honors the challenge of improving one's health and lifestyle, and I can feel that support throughout our sessions.
My child is attending the wild Explorers program, and she loves it. She’s really looking forward for every class. She loves the teacher and the curriculum.
Classes are well run enjoy the instructors. Equipment and well maintained.
However… I find very frequently that the steam room upstairs is frequently down for service as is the hot tub in the main indoor swimming pool
