Going to the YMCA is a regular 6 day a week and I have been doing
for 26 years. Plus it is fun and hundreds of the people that I see all the time. [NAME REMOVED]
Awesome place! Gym schedule needs better planning maybe. Friday common basketball hour is messed up currently. Group exercise should be rescheduled at different time which using only has 5-10 people attending in the whole gym while 25-50 people playing basketball
Jamie is an amazing instructor. I thank her for waking up early so I can get my exercise in first thing on Tuesdays!
As the weather gets warmer, please adjust the AC accordingly, as some members and instructors don't like the fans on. It is not healthy to exercise in an overheated room, especially for those with cardiac issues.

The atmosphere, the social aspects beyond just working out, the cleanliness and the variety of exercise options available. It is for the most part a very friendly place.
I can afford the Y, there are lots of classes that I can take: yoga, Pilates, water aerobics (I have Ehlers-Danlos, so I have limited options). The people are kind and friendly. When I expressed a concern regarding my social anxiety, management addressed it quickly in a sensitive manner.
honestly I love this location mostly because I love the comfort of working out around mostly old people. The health and wellness in Hampton is closer to my house but that its a bunch of younger adults around my age in the weights area makes me anxious. I also like the equipment better at this location even if its a little older
