The trainers are great and attentive. I have worked out at a lot of places but these guys really know their stuff and help assist you with the correct form. They change up the workouts from HIIT to functional, cardio, weights and TRX.
I had joined Vortex Fitness in July of this year to follow a couple of trainers I had worked with at another gym.
This coming October, I will have trained with Jake Zeemin of Vortex Fitness PDX for a total of 2-years.
I had suffered a sports injury to my right hip in 2003. Jake and David Haebler are two of the only trainers I have worked with that have been able to get my hip to respond to a program. The results they have helped me to achieve is unprecedented since the injury.
Over the last 22 months I have worked with Jake, no two training sessions have ever been the same. He’a constantly changing things up and challenging me to go farther. When I struggle, he can change things on the fly and eventually I’ll end up doing what he wanted me to do in the first place.
I couldn’t be happier that I’m able to continue my training with Jake and/or David.
I would make one request. Currently I am only contracted to do personal training. From past experience, classes have gotten me into trouble. I push too hard and end up reinjuring the hip. Jake and David can and do occasionally rein me in to make certain I don’t push myself too hard.
Based on my current service level, I’m told access to the Mind/Body platform is unavailable to me as a client of Vortex Fitness. I would really like to utilize some of the offerings on this platform. Is there a way I could be granted access without signing up to attend fitness classes? Over a 12-month period, I currently pay Vortex Fitness over $5K. It seems odd that I’m unable to access anything on this platform.
