I love your ymca-location Weekly in Houston, but I don't like at all the music during Yoga and Pilates classes. I simply think it's contradictive. Yoga and Pilates is about stretching but also about the right breathing and relaxation. Instead, at Weekly, nearly every instructor turns it into a relatively loud enterprise, as if it otherwise would be boring. For me I would so much prefer to have it in another pleasant way otherwise. Everywhere music: in elevators, in shops, offices, restaurants, - why not relax a little from all that white noise?
After 8 sessions in Zumba, I’m experiencing an improvement in my health i.e., bladder control, strength in thighs & legs. It’s worth to keep doing it.
I invited my husband, he enjoys the Taichi program. He shared the info to his sister, she’s very interested, and will check a YMCA in Kingwood or Woodland Hills.
Thank you Y for all the good you do.
Friendly, helpful staff, the family pool is wonderful in the summer, a good variety of classes and sports groups for kids and youth year round.
Joel Duarte is a gift. He’s helpful, a problem solver and has a positive attitude all the time!
The Childcare staff is welcoming, offer a variety of activities for kids of all ages and take good care of the kids in their care.
I am a spin class devotee, especially Monday and Tuesday mornings. Instructors are great!
I work out 2-3 times with weights and cardio, and there's generally enough space and equipment.
I enjoy the Forever Well Combo on Monday and Friday. I also enjoy the water exercise classes on Tuesdays and Fridays. However, with the new app, I have had difficulty registering for these classes. There should have been more information sent to the membership regarding this new system.
Also, when I couldn't use the app to register for a class, I called and the person answering the phone said she would register me. She did not.
