Always friendly. They explain in detail what they fixed or tuned up. They also tell you if it’s an adjustment you can make on your own, like a minor brake adjustment, and at what point you need to bring your bike in to be fully repaired.

I’ve been doing business with Wheel Base Bikes for about 20 years, and I’ve always had a very positive experience. The staff brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise, and the first-rate mechanics have always provided excellent service. It’s simply a great local bike shop. Part of the appeal is the shop itself, located in a classic downtown Frederick storefront on Market Street, complete with those old-school squeaky hardwood floors. It has the kind of authentic character that perfectly suits a longtime neighborhood bike shop. Knowledgeable people, excellent service, and a great atmosphere—I highly recommend Wheel Base Bikes.
