The mix of classes is great, but the Windward facilities need better classrooms. The major space has no air conditioning or mirrors for checking one's form.
It’s a wonderful place for seniors like myself to exercise and stay healthy. It’s also a place to meet new people and develop friendships.Like me, my friends live the Y.
The Y provides many options to meet our personal needs. We can hit the gym or join a morning stretch class or if you’re like me, tack on some leg weights, grab dumbbells and jump into the heated salt water pool to burn off some calories.
If exercise is not your jam, you can join other kupuna for a meal and play some Hanafuda or mahjong.
I really enjoy the variety of classes offered, the instructors are great, the staff are very friendly, and the friends I’ve made with fellow participants.
Wonderful helpful friends and staff.
Friends help to set up my needs for the class we are taking.
I help the instructors to set up for their class, and other participants in that class also help.
The employees are professional, courteous, and very helpful. The facility is always very clean.
Our problem is the parking lot is full of holes and uneven surfaces. All these years of this when are you going to pave it so it is not continuously unsafe for your clients who are elderly and disabled ?
The staff and members at Windward Y are so friendly and welcoming. It really is like a second home. Our facilities are small but they really do make the most of them. I like that they stock the weight room with the basic equipment that everyone can use. It makes it easy to plan a good resistance training session knowing that the essential weights and machines are available instead of having all cardio or unsual and hard to use weight machines.
The staff, cleanliness of the facility, and overall facility always make my experience enjoyable and satisfying to support my overall health and wellness. I do not come enough.
