We love all of the teachers that we interact with every day at Woodpark! The Montessori way is a great way for our son to learn and he comes home every day saying and participating in new things. The staff takes extra time to give us updates and help us through different parenting situations. We have loved our time here!
The team at Woodpark is amazing and really make Lois feel loved! Miss Navaeh has been great as a resource to help us along the way and she truly shows that she cares! We love that Lois' former infant teachers still say hi and get excited to see her. We appreciate the consistency we have been seeing recently and the excellent communication from everyone regarding changes or updates.
I love the feeling of confidence I have when dropping my daughter off at Woodpark each morning knowing she will be cared for by some really great teachers. She especially loves Miss Emily which is evident by how excited she is to tell me about her day at pickup and always needs to say bye to Miss Emily with a hug before we leave. There have been some staff changes in my daughter’s room over the past year which were a little rough but since getting Mr Isaiah full time plus Miss Emily I’ve noticed my daughter’s behaviors are more consistent. They do a great job posting updates and pictures throughout the day and leading the kids through a variety of activities to help them learn.
Previously, our daughter was in daycare setting, instead of a Montessori setting, and the difference in approach and experience is incredible. The overall experience, in terms of activities, diversity, and actually teaching instead of just supervising, has made a world of difference for our preschooler. We also have an infant son who is getting the benefits of a Montessori education from the beginning, which we are grateful for.
The teachers and staff at Woodpark demonstrate care and investment in our children. They also communicate effectively and provide information we need to ensure the transitions between home and school each day are easier for all. The teachers and staff want our children to be successful, and to make progress. And to have fun as well! They also tend to our children in the ways that suit their individual needs, instead of a 'one size fits all' approach.
We are grateful for Woodpark, and the support they provide for our family each day.
We have been very happy with the new leadership Woodpark has. It is great to have people with more of a Montessori background. We also think that things seem to be running smoother than before. We have seen much improvement!
We love Ms. Zulekha, and think she works great with our son. We love the art projects that come home. We love the pictures in the app!! She deserves a large raise for all she does!!! We appreciate all that she does!!
Also, loving the sign language and karate at Woodpark.
We would like to see soccer back or more sports options at Woodpark.
The staff and environment. It is clear that the staff authentically cares about each child as an individual as well as their development. Communication between the staff and parents is transparent and well facilitated.
We really like Woodpark! There have been a lot of changes with leadership and teachers which has been difficult, but I feel that the leaders have done their best to communicate through it and understands that it wasn't easy on anyone. I am blown away at what my daughter learns each day. She is usually sad at drop-off, but I typically get a picture within an hour of her doing an activity - and her teachers are always happy to see her. We would definitely recommend Woodpark - Savage.
The social interactions my child is getting, plus all the activities we just would not do if they were at home all day. Such as sign language, dance, soccer, karate, over the course of the year.
It feels like an extension to home. Teachers and staff know the kids well, even if they aren’t in their class. All the other friends that go there are excited to see friends from other classes and returning friends that have moved on to elementary, the teachers in the toddler class have worked really hard to find solutions that work for the needs of our 2.5 year old that are outside of what is typical and I’m so appreciative! Often times, our kids are bummed when we pick up because they would rather stay. Love all the animals, activities and access to life lessons while they are there. Having an amazing director and assistant director who we can see genuinely care for the students and staff is the cherry on top.
