My girls loved their counselors and made new friends and reconnected with friends they made of the summer and even years ago! True growth and friendships happened for both my daughters.

The activities, the food (including afternoon and evening snacks), the availability of the camp store each day for overnight campers were great. My suggestions are (Based on several overnight campers recommendations are): more cabin time and having the option to stay in their cabin an relax for night time or day time activities. Campers stated that there were so many fun activities, however they would enjoy more down time for relaxing in their cabins and have the option to say behind vs. participating in all activities. One suggestion would be for the day time, have the option for additional siesta time and/or opt out of an after dinner activity to just relax (one counselor stay in cabin and one counselor go with other campers to evening activity. Or just block out an extra hour during the day to relax.

The staff are wonderful! This was my daughter's 3rd year attending and the directors and several counselors remembered her by name. The camp nurse was very good at communicating any concerns and helping my daughter whenever her mouth hurt as she has new braces. They were great at making sure campers got support and understanding to help them through any homesick nights or activities they weren't quite comfortable with and making sure they found equally exciting alternative activities. The friendships she made in her cabin also made the experience so enjoyable. Altogether this is a great place and she can't wait for next year!

The drop off and pick up were very organized. My daughter liked that she was with other girls her age and had fun doing all of the activities and getting choices in the activities she participated in.

We have never stopped talking about this great find! so many fun outdoor activities, our kids always have a blast at the Kirkwood summer camp. They have come back many time over and made new friends, while also bringing their own. They get to be in the woods all day everyday. We cannot recommend this place more. The staff are so fun and friendly, they offer healthy delicious meals, and they really take care of everyone at the camp, making us feel secure that our kids are in good hands. Thank you so much, I don't know what we would do without you guys!

My son absolutely had a BLAST at Camp Kirkwood! We will be coming back next summer for sure! Everyone was wonderful from drop off to pick up. I cannot Thank you enough for providing an amazing 2 weeks for my son!
