There are lots of programs & activities & sports to choose from. There are great coaches that make it all work. It provides great fundamental training of the sports as well as sportsmanship, and developing a love of the game.
Only downside is the parking is always a bear!
As a couch wiring with 2 teams, the staff is very accommodating in making a feasible schedule to allow time for me to rest/eat, etc, between games. They listen to grievances, if/ when they come up and take quick steps to rectify the situation. Both of my children love the programs.
That I can be myself and the teams are fantastic and everyone is so nice and understanding, great sports and for me as a new player and staff member I'm nervous but because of the Y I'm not so nervous because people are nice and understanding and I love the Y I wouldn't change a thing.
We love the preschool camp, we love soccer, we love the specialty camps. We've had a good experience with swimming lessons. We've had a good experience with child watch, that we don't use it as much as we used to. I'm looking forward to trying some of the classes in the fall. I think one of the best things about it is how nice all the staff are and helpful. And as a bonus the YMCA is right surrounded by all the trails. So even if you're not in the mood to do a group activity, there's always a nice walk you can do. It's really nice to just go somewhere where you constantly recognize people. Even if it's not someone you know on a first name basis, you know you've seen them in the classes or picking up the kids.
I haven’t been able to attend classes since Nov. due to health, but I love the Y. Jeremy is always there to assist us as well as all the other staff members. My Zumba Gold instructors are terrific: Theresa, Carolyn, Dianne. Are wonderful. I am recommending the OP Schnable Y all the time.
Everything! I feel like we’re a family at the YMCA. I never get that feeling in any other Jims that I have ever been to. OP, Jeremy really makes a difference. He puts a lot of effort into what he does with his staff and the members. I always feel appreciated every time I go in there. He works so hard to put that mind-body spirit mantra that the YMCA is known for good use.
