My son is on the autism spectrum and he has never played a sport before. He showed interest in playing soccer so we signed him up. Kaiden remembered Remi from summer camp and informed his coach about Remi and how he's never played before. Coach Alfanso and coach Billy were awesome with Remi. They both really took their time teaching him and reassuring him he was doing good. Rem loved it so much that we signed him up again for spring soccer.
Coach Kaiden is absolutely amazing, and he has turned the entire program around for the better. I would highly recommend the Y specifically for this reason.
I cannot speak highly enough about the YMCA soccer program led by Coach Kaiden. His dedication and passion for the sport shine through in every session. The emphasis on teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development has created a nurturing and positive environment for my child. Coach Kaiden's coaching style is not only effective but also instills a sense of confidence and camaraderie among the young athletes. The program has not only improved my child's soccer abilities but has also taught invaluable life lessons. I am incredibly grateful for Coach Kaiden's commitment to making a positive impact on the kids' lives. Highly recommend this program to anyone looking for an enriching soccer experience for their children.
Why am I so likely to recommend the Y? It's Family Fun at it's best. Kaiden Whitney and staff at Camp Christina made it about family AND fun. That's rare nowadays.
The Y stresses fun, learning and teamwork for the soccer lessons, which I think are great. Kaiden is a gem of the program, he cares, is great with the kids and lots of fun. Highly recommend!
