I love the fact that my daughter WANTS to go to camp each and every day to see her friends, interact with her counselors, and participate in all the activities at the Y. I need her to love camp, and she absolutely does!!! I cannot thank Karen, Emma and all the staff for yet another amazing summer for my daughter!!!!!

Great first time experience and loved the varied activities for the kids. They loved the pool and water slides, and the care and engagement of the camp counselors! The grounds are expansive, clean and provided a great experience in nature.

Camp Z is a great place for your child to disconnect from the electronics, develop social connections and enjoy and explore the outdoors. The camp does a great job with structured activities, free time, and weekly themes. Our first year we questioned if our son was too old, rising 6th grader, (11) but he had a blast. He's an outdoorsy on the shy-side kid, enjoys exploring bugs and nature. We were surprised, but welcomed his interest for the second summer. He rejoined some prior year kids and met new ones from other local towns, which helped develop social skills, (not so shy anymore) a month later he still keeps in touch with them. It's not for everyone at the older age, some of his local town friends did not like it, you have to know your child. He looked forward to it every day, at pick-up he was very excited about all of his days activities, genuinely always had a smile on his face and excitement in his voice! The Camp Leader and counselors do a great job running the camp, the counselors seem to be older teens and college kids, and are engaged. We really do speak highly of this camp, have been extremely happy, and we believe it has contributed to his social and emotional growth these last few summers!

Everyone was so nice and always very helpful. The counselors were very friendly. I love that any event we attended everyone knew my sons name and was happy to see him. This was my sons first summer at camp and he absolutely loved it and was so sad when it ended. I love that you can buy lunch and snacks, and there is an early drop off/late pick up option if needed. It is great that the camp runs the entire summer unlike most camps. That is one thing my friends do complain about with other camps. I have already been recommending the Y to anyone I know in the area. A special thanks to kelly and Karen for all your help and allowing my son to attend the last week. It meant so much to us and him.

I sent my daughter to camp with her only knowing one camper who has been going every summer. They were not in the same group. She made new friends and every day she wanted to go to camp. She had fun. And probably the 4th week into camp she was asking if she can go next summer!! Win- win!! We had one issue in the beginning of camp, and I worked with Karen who made herself available to us even when camp was not in session. She listened to me when I was upset, and did not dismiss any of my concerns. The only negative is the circle drop off & pick up can take some time. Other than that, my daughter is happy and enjoys herself with all the activities that are available.

I love the Diversity of the staff and campers. The staff provide a safe and fun environment for my children with structure. I also appreciate the amount of staff on site. This is our second year with the ymca but first summer at this site and I’m highly impressed and grateful we found this camp!
