My kids have been going here for a couple years now and they love it! It allows them to stay occupied and have fun while doing it! They've made friends and really do enjoy their time there! Plus, there's field trips to various places every week!

My daughter attended summer camp through YMCA last year at the Hampstead United Methodist Church and she thoroughly enjoyed it. Whenever we went to register for that program this year, it filled up rather TOO QUICKLY. We were both upset bc she was wait listed and spots filled up fast. Whenever I received the email in regards to them opening up at this location, we were both so happy and excited. I like the fact that it's super close to where we live so I don't have to fight the hectic traffic of Hampstead daily. Plus it's a smaller setting. I really hope that YMCA continues to have camp held at this location. Only thing I would suggest is to allow prior members/kids first chance to enroll and get into the program before allowing it to open up for the public. This area is super overpopulated now and I think first priority should be gave to the ones who already attend. Just my honest opinion and I think that makes it fair before it becomes available to the full public. Allow us to have the chance to snag a spot first 😊

This is the second summer my son has attended, and the camp has been absolutely wonderful. The counselors are so much fun, and every time he leaves, he has a big smile and can’t stop talking about all the fun they had. The activities are thoughtfully planned with a great focus on movement and staying active. The field trips are exciting, and the hours of operation are perfect for working parents. All of the staff are incredibly polite and kind.

The counselors are great My son would go everyday excited for what activities they were doing for that day It's close to our house it works out great we had a great time!! RJ's doing a great job as the camp director please pass this along!!

My kiddo is having a fantastic time at camp! I grew up a Y kid, was a Y counselor for years, and YMCA Camp Letts was the highlight of my every summer for a decade. I am so thrilled to carry on the tradition with my son here in Wilmington, and am very happy to say that in his first summer at the Nir Family Y he is having a fantastic time. I feel like he is safe and cared for while I'm at work, and I know he is having fun, what more can a single mom ask for?

I have two kids who attend the Barlow Vista location, and I’m pleased to say they’ve had a great experience so far. RJ has been amazing at communication and providing a safe, fun environment for the campers. The best part is the weekly field trips they get to enjoy. I’d highly recommend this location for future campers looking for an amazing, fun-filled summer.
